Services

The main services are held each Sunday.

Family Service @ 11.20am

This service is for the whole family, with the Sunday School and Crèche leaving for separate activities after a children’ s talk . We have lively praise times led by our  Worship Team. Dramas, book reviews and musical items may be included in such services. God’s word is brought to us by Our Youth and Community Pastor Dave Brackenridge on the first Sunday of every month and from many different speakers during the month.  Regular speakers include Peter Grover from our own congregation, our Elders, some of our Deacons and a variety of visiting speakers from other churches.  Why not join us before the service at 11am for tea and coffee?

Evening Worship and Communion Service @ 6pm

Our evening service consists of worship, Bible teaching and Communion (except the first Sunday of each month). Communion is a very important part of the service for Christians as we remember the death, and subsequent resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. We take bread which reminds us of Jesus’ body broken for us, and a cup of wine which represents His blood shed for us, paying the price for our sins. By sharing in communion we obey the command of Jesus himself when he said, “Do this in remembrance of me” (Luke 22:19; see also 1 Corinthians 11: 17-34). As Christians we recognize that this is only temporary until Christ returns and takes all Christians to be with him in heaven.

Church Activities

There are many activities for all ages in BEC. Please see our Events and Youth Work sections to find out more about them.

Verse of the Day

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. — 1 John 4:18 (KJV)
